What's up with that?
As Chit would say, "Do it, lady"
I have so much to update you on! Sorry that title made no sense, sometimes I get done writing this and have no creativity left for the title… Anyway.
First of all, I have a new website.
Unfortunately the company that I built my website through closed it’s doors unexpectedly. So the websites were left basically unsupported without any warning. It still would technically work, but eventually it would become too buggy to run efficiently, and with no support, I didn’t want customers to be entering their data into a black hole. Luckily the payments for your orders went through an independent company, so there is nothing to worry about on that end, but it was time to move on. I updated my domain, so siftnsprinkle.com should be working soon! But in the meantime, bookmark this link.
Enter Bakesy. I built my Bakesy account as quickly as I could to get my back to live. If you’re looking to put in an order, check out the new site! Let me know what you think, I’m very open to suggestions.
Second of all, I was lucky enough to be a part of a TV show on the CW called Iowa’s Food Diary, hosted by Nash Roe of Food Network and Iowa State Fair fame.
Nash and I became good friends over Instagram and the State Fair, and he reached out when he was pitching the show. Unfortunately, my episode scheduled for Sunday October 12th is going to be preempted because of CW Sports programming, but they’re working on an alternate date for it to air. In the meantime check out Iowa’s Food Diary on the CW on Sunday afternoons!
Headed into October, I have a few quick items to note:
Tuesdays in October from 3:30-4:30 I’ll be at the East Side Library for their ASAP youth cookie and cupcake decorating classes. All kids are welcome to join!
Sunday, October 19th I’ll be at the Iowa State Alumni Maker’s Fair. Market hours are 11am-3pm and we will be in the parking lot of the ISU Alumni Center, 429 Alumni Lane! Expect some Halloween/Fall treats, because I’ve been missing that Halloween Peace Tree pop up I would always do, and I need a spooky outlet.
I have two classes in October at The Recipe. We have Halloween Cake Decorating on the 16th and French Macarons on the 24th. Looking forward to November, I have my pie class on the 19th.
I have multiple WhatNot shows coming up. If you haven’t come to a show, download the app and watch a few shows! I sell and ship all over the US, and we have the absolute best time.
Welp, thanks for letting me give you a little update on the comings and goings of Sift n Sprinkle! Stick around, I have some more fun newsletters to share.
